As a home infusion and specialty pharmacy, we provide medications that are administered through a needle or catheter when a patient’s condition cannot be treated with oral medication. We provide medications that are administered subcutaneously (under the skin), intramuscularly (into the muscle), epidurally (via the spinal route) or intravenously (into the vein). Conditions commonly requiring infusion therapy include infections (cellulitis, osteomyelitis, etc.), cancer and cancer-related pain, dehydration, and gastrointestinal diseases or conditions which prevent normal functioning of the gastrointestinal system. Other conditions that may require specialty infusion therapies including cancer, Crohn’s Disease, immune deficiencies, Multiple Sclerosis, and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Home infusion has been proven to be a safe, cost-effective alternative to inpatient care allowing patients to receive infusion therapies in the comfort and privacy of their own home. Home infusion allows patients to continue treatment at home in familiar surroundings with continued involvement and interaction with family, friends and pets. Mid-Valley Health Services provides convenient, professional medical support and assistance for those caring for a loved one at home eliminating long hospital stays, unnecessary travel, and expenses.

Mid-Valley Health Services also has an Ambulatory Infusion Center that offers a convenient, comfortable and cost-effective alternative to outpatient hospital care for patients whose infusion needs are best met by coming into our facility for their infusion therapy.
